New! - Remember that whole 'Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon' thing? A take-off on the age old theory that everybody is connected to everybody else by no more than six other people. Put simply, if I know Joe, Joe knows Bill, Bill knows, Tom, Tom knows Blaisdell, Blaisdell knows Tucker, and Tucker knows Gordo, then I am six degrees of separation from Gordo. According to the theory, though, I , and you, and Gordo, and everyone is six degrees of separation from everybody else. This age old theory is the basis for a great Website where you can find out just who you really are 'Six Degrees' from. And as Jungle Skippers, we have a built in advantage of all knowing each other. The idea is simple - you go, you list as many people as you know, and they figure out who knows who. It's like a giant network map of everyone involved - and the more people involved, the better it gets. You may have already heard of Six Degrees. You may have even been there. If not, you should check it out. Once you register, you can also set up message boards (now you'll know how I feel), check news, sports, and etc, chat, and find out who you're related to. I think it would be great to have a whole list of Jungle Skippers there; as I mentioned, we all kinda know each other already! That's why The Jungle Gnus Report has joined the Six Degrees affiliate program. Check it out by clicking the Six Degrees graphic (and support the JGR at the same time): You can return to JGR any time by clicking the JGR graphic at the top of the Six Degrees page. One more thing - anyone who wants to list me, my address is (like you didn't know): When you get there, be sure to hit the 'Groups' section, where I've set up an area for us all under 'Organizations and Associations.' See you there! * Don't you wish you had an '@junglecruise.com' address? Now you can! |
