I must take this opportunity to apologize to the many Skippers who have e-mailed me to be put on the Jungle Alumni Directory, to Ag for still not having his latest artwork posted yet, to Gordo and Jen for taking this long to post their Reunion info, and to every last one of you for still not having this message board thing straightened out.

Keep in mind that many WebSites smaller and yet better funded than this one have full time development staffs; I am but a lone ex-Jungle Skipper with a P-II 350 and a dream. Keeping up with the tremendous growth of this Site is enough work to keep me occupied 40 hours a week; unfortunately my job, my kids, and my wife have already commanded most of my available time. I can't get rid of my kids and my wife won't let me leave her, so I did what any red-blooded Jungle Cruise Alum would do.

I quit my Job.

Now before you get all misty on me, let me explain. In addition to The Jungle Gnus Report and Thunder-Mountain.com, I have been moonlighting for the past couple years on some real, commercial websites. And I've had ideas for several more, but as I mentioned, my time is somewhat of a precious commodity. So I got together with my wife, my kids, and my banker to discuss the feasibility of opening my own Web Development Shop. We weighed the pros and the cons, took a look at the market, talked to some people in the industry, and made a decision. Then I went and did it anyway.

"What has this got to do with me?" you might ask. Well, a couple things. First of all, if you haven't already, please buy an Alumni Cap and a '@junglecruise.com' e-mail address. Now that I own my own business, and this WebSite is part of that, I'm not above begging (actually, I wasn't before, either - but now it's serious). Second of all, you may begin to see a few more ads around here as I try to support the site by pitching ads to local Orlando and Anaheim merchants who may be interested in the Skipper Market (any leads would be greatly appreciated; leads that turn into accounts will be handsomely rewarded). Third, I hope to increase the functionality of the Site with the extra time I have to work on it - including getting everyone on the directory, getting the message boards up, cleaning up the archives, and a bunch of other stuff I've been promising. And last but not least, if any of you ever hears anyone say, "Boy, we need a WebSite - I wonder who we can get to build it?" please send them to Denver Stevens Productions. I would really greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

SC
